This is the Earthworks Journals A4 (Large) Distressed Brown Leather Wraparound Travel Journal. We make this journal from a natural, vegetable tanned, full grain leather. This leather comes to us in pristine condition and we put it through various dying and staining techniques to give it a distressed look. We finish the rustic look by leaving the natural edge of the hide on the wraparound flap, each one of these will be unique, some will have quite a straight edge, some will have a bit of a slant and some will be irregular. As it is the natural edge of the leather you might even find small scars, cuts or even holes on this edge. The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this makes a handy pen loop on the inside of the cover.

The ready-worn and well travelled look of this leather makes this a perfect journal for writing up your wild adventures and darkest secrets. Imagine your descendants stumbling across this tome in a dusty attic!

The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.

Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!

P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n
We offer a personalised leather tag which slips onto the wrap cord, we can add up to four initials to this and it makes a handy additional pen loop. This is an optional extra, please send us a message with your order to let us know if you would like this.
