This is the Earthworks Journals A4 (Large) Rugged Black Leather Wraparound Travel Journal. We make this journal from a rugged black leather. This beautiful vegetable tanned leather has a distinctive natural grain which has been brought out by working the leather until it has become relaxed and supple, without losing any of its toughness. The grain varies across the hide making each journal unique. And it even smells as good as it looks! The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this makes a handy pen loop on the inside of the cover.

This supple but sturdy leather makes for a very hard-working journal. The wraparound cover protects the paper so it can be taken on your adventures as a log book or travel journal.  It would also make a great guestbook, memorial book or Book of Shadows.

The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.

P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!

P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n
We offer a personalised leather tag which slips onto the wrap cord, we can add up to four initials to this and it makes a handy additional pen loop. This is an optional extra, please send us a message with your order to let us know if you would like this.
