D e s c r i p t i o n
This is the Earthworks Journals A7 brown leather pocket sized journal with our Yin Yang design hand tooled onto the cover. It is bound in a single thick piece of vegetable tanned leather and has a hand applied black finish. We only use 'full grain' leather which means the natural marks and scars in the leather are still visible, this makes each book unique. The covers are held closed by two tie cords finished with leather beads.

With its small size it's a great little notebook to carry around in your pocket or bag. It makes a great everyday notebook to keep your personal thoughts, inspiration and notes to remember. Ideal as a mini-magical diary or book of shadows.

D e s i g n
The Pentagram / Pentacle is a powerful magical symbol often used for protection in ceremonial magic. It represents mans place in the Universe, the five points representing the four elements, air, earth, fire and water plus the fifth element, spirit. Five traditionally represents psychic and lunar qualities. Medieval Christians also used this image to symbolise the five wounds of Christ. Pentagonal geometry is often found in nature as the logarithmic spiral, this spiral is found in the growth patterns of many plants.

Approximately 170 pages (340 sides) of A7 sized, unlined, recycled, paper.
We bind the pages by hand using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.

P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!

We can add up to five letters (name or initials) to the back cover and this is free of charge; just contact us when placing your order to let us know what you would like.
