D e s c r i p t i o n
This is the Earthworks Journals A6 (standard size) Distressed Sea Blue Leather Wraparound Travel Journal. We have made this journal from a natural, full grain leather. We have hand dyed this with shades of blue, green & turquoise, the hand distressing brings out the grain of the leather and brings to mind the colours of the ocean. We finish the rustic look by leaving the natural edge of the hide on the wraparound flap, each one of these will be unique, some will have quite a straight edge, some will have a bit of a slant and some will be irregular. As it is the natural edge of the leather you might even find small scars, cuts or even holes on this edge. You can see in the images how much they can vary. This is the sort of journal that you can throw in your rucksack without worrying too much about it. The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this forms a pen loop on the inside of the front flap.

The supple but very sturdy leather makes this a perfect travel journal, even though it's a smaller size there's plenty of pages to write down your adventures. It's lightweight and squashes into small spaces so it's great for those travelling light.

The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.

P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!

P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n
We have two options for personalisation on this journal. We can print a name, initials, date, inscription, or any other text that you can think of on the first paper page inside. Or, we can add a personalised pen loop with up to four initials which slips onto the wrap cord. Either option is free but if you would like both then there is an extra charge.
