This is an Earthworks Journals one of a kind (OOAK) leather journal. We've made this A5 leather journal from a characterful piece of full grain leather which has beautiful natural marks and scars. It has been dyed and overdyed to give a mottled blue/green finish with red undertones.
The Triple Goddess design represents the divine feminine in the landscape. She can be depicted as a maiden, mother or crone, the three aspects of woman. These aspects are often represented by the three phases of the moon, waxing, full and waning, this is often associated with the goddess Hecate. On this design we've also incorporated the Pentagram, the five points corresponding to the four elements, air, earth, fire and water plus spirit. Five traditionally represents psychic and lunar qualities.
With its versatile size it's a great journal to either keep at home or carry with you, so it's perfect as a Grimoire / Book of Shadows.

It holds approximately 250 pages (500 sides) of A5 sized, unlined paper.
We bind the pages by hand using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.
P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!
