D e s c r i p t i o n
This is an Earthworks Journals one of a kind (OOAK) leather journal. Made from our usual vegetable tanned leather, we've used a different dying technique on this one. We've dyed and overdyed it to give a mottled finish showing various shades of brown and green, which highlights the stippled design and the natural grain in the leather.
We've also added one of our wrap 'cord & strap' closures.
With its large size this would make a perfect grimoire or book of shadows.
D e s i g n
This triple spiral, or 'Triskelion' design is based on the Neolithic carvings found at the Newgrange burial chamber in Ireland. We've hand tooled the design so that it wraps around the front and back covers.

It holds approximately 250 pages (500 sides) of A4 sized, unlined paper.
We bind the pages by hand using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.
P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!
