This is the Earthworks Journals A4 Dark Brown Leather 4 Ring Binder with our Tree of Life design hand tooled onto the cover. We make this from a single, thick piece of vegetable tanned leather and we apply a beautiful antiqued finish by hand to pick out the design and the natural markings in the leather. This makes each one unique and the tone and grain of your binder may vary from the image shown.

This a versatile and durable ring binder, perfect for the home or workplace. It makes for an impressive presentation folder, memory album or guestbook and, with the Tree of Life design, would be a perfect way to store your family history.

D e s i g n
The Tree of Life symbol is found in many cultures, from Ygdrassil of the Norsemen to the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Trees have been of great spiritual importance throughout history, usually representing the link between heaven and earth. People have traditionally gained enlightenment while sitting under their branches, their fruit and sap have provided knowledge and immortality.
In our own Tree of Life design the branches reach upward towards the light and heaven and open outwards to receive inspiration, their spiraling form represent spiritual growth. This is mirrored by the roots which spiral downward into the dark earth to receive nourishment. On the axis the horizontal line represents harmony and balance while the vertical represents the journey from the physical to the spiritual.

This binder contains a good quality metal 4 ring binder mechanism with 4.4cm (1.7 inch) diameter rings and takes approximately 3.3cm (1.3 inch) depth of standard A4 paper. It is large enough to take punched pockets and dividers and is compatible with A4 Filofax organiser inserts.
It will be supplied empty and ready for you to fill.
