D e s c r i p t i o n
We have made this journal from a natural, vegetable tanned, full grain leather and it has one of our hand dyed fern leaf designs on the cover. We batch dye these using real fern leaves which means that yours may look a little different to the one in the photo; we purposely choose leaves which are not perfect to give a natural look, some parts will be sharply in focus while other parts will have a misty or ghostly look. We leave the inside of the cover as natural undyed leather.
The wrap around cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this makes a handy pen loop inside the cover.
The supple but very sturdy leather makes this a perfect travel journal, nature notebook, grimoire or woodland wedding guestbook.

The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent.
P a p e r
Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture. It takes most fountain pens without 'bleeding' and has a weight of 80gsm.
It is acid-free archival quality, which is great if you're planning on leaving your words for future generations!
P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n
We have two options for personalisation on this journal. We can print a name, initials, date, inscription, or any other text that you can think of on the first paper page inside. Or, we can add a personalised pen loop with up to four initials which slips onto the wrap cord. Either option is free but if you would like both then there is an extra charge.
