Bound in a single thick piece of vegetable tanned leather this journal has one of our hand tooled designs on the cover. The beautiful antiqued finish is applied by hand to pick out the design and the natural markings in the leather. This makes each book unique and the tone and grain of your journal may vary from the image shown. The covers are held closed by two cords finished with leather beads.
The Goddess represents the divine feminine in the landscape. She can be depicted as a maiden, mother or crone, the three aspects of woman. These aspects are often represented by the three phases of the moon, waxing, full and waning, which we have incorporated into our design. Her arms are raised to form an unbroken circle representing the eternal cycle of nature. In many cultures the Goddess is associated with nature, fertility and the harvest. Woodland groves, springs and streams are particularly sacred to her.
