This is the Earthworks Journals A5 Black Leather 2 Ring Binder with our Pentagram / Pentacle design hand tooled onto the cover. We make this from a single, thick piece of vegetable tanned leather and we apply a beautiful black finish which we buff to a satiny sheen. This makes each one unique and the tone and grain of your binder may vary from the image shown.
This a versatile and durable ring binder, perfect for the home, workplace or altar. It makes for an impressive presentation folder or guestbook. Perfect as a Book of Shadows or Grimoire.
D e s i g n
The Pentagram is a powerful magical symbol often used for protection in ceremonial magic. It represents mans place in the Universe, the five points representing the four elements, air, earth, fire and water plus the fifth element, spirit. Five traditionally represents psychic and lunar qualities. Medieval Christians also used this image to symbolise the five wounds of Christ. Pentagonal geometry is often found in nature as the logarithmic spiral, this spiral is found in the growth patterns of many plants.

This binder contains a good quality metal 2 ring binder mechanism with 30.5mm (1.125 inches) diameter rings and takes approximately 21mm (0.75 inch) depth of standard A5 paper. It is large enough to take A5 punched pockets and dividers.
