This binder is not a stock item, when you buy it we will be making it especially for you, this takes time! Please see our shop home page for our current dispatch dates.
We have made this binder from a single thick piece of vegetable tanned leather, it has has one of our hand tooled designs on the cover. The beautiful antiqued finish is applied by hand to pick out the design and the natural markings in the leather. This makes each one unique and the tone and grain of your binder may vary from the image shown.
If you want the look and quality of a leather bound book but also need the flexibility of a ring binder, then this could be just the thing. It's ideal for use as a presentation folder, album, or for ecclesiastical purposes.
The Grail is The Sacred Vessel. It has had many incarnations throughout history - the magic cauldrons of Celtic mythology; the cup used by Christ at The Last Supper; the vessel that contained Christs' blood; the ultimate quest of the Arthurian romances; the Philosophers Stone and the more recent theory that it is the bloodline of Christ. In the Tarot it is represented by the Ace of Cups. In all of its guises it represents the quest for spiritual knowledge and union with The Divine.
For our design we have chosen the traditional symbol of the chalice. The rays of light emanating from it represent the light of spiritual wisdom. The encircled cross symbolises the union of Earth and Heaven, the point of equilibrium, and the spiritual rebirth that takes place at that union.
